Bristol-based experimental rock ensemble My Octopus Mind have returned with their new single, ‘Wandering Alone’. The band have continued to develop a unique sound that has garnered interest that ranges from Prog Magazine to BBC Introducing. This track shows off their ability to blend Balkan rhythms with psychedelic post-punk sounds, grating riffs and some seriously impressive hooks that really sneak up on you. On the background of the track, vocalist and lyricist Liam O’Connell says: “Lyrically the track wasn't inspired by anything other than the millions of different thoughts running through my head on solitary lockdown walks or the myriad of random rants I'd go into over a bottle of wine in a park.” ‘Wandering Alone’ is taken from their upcoming third studio album, Trying To Be Normal, which is due for release on November 3rd, 2023. -Dan Peeke
